Intro to bookbinding afternoon workshop
1 August 2022
Iona Village Hall - side door
Join in an afternoon bookbinding taster session. Learn how to make your own book and leave with new skills, a book or two, and hopefully a hankering to do more. More information can be found on the Workshops page.
No experience necessary, all tools and materials are provided.
Please note this week’s workshop is on a Monday as the hall is booked during the usual slot.
Workshops are held from April to mid-October, starting at 14.00 and lasting for about 2 hours. Every class is standalone, so there is no need to have attended previous weeks. These intro sessions are geared toward those with little to no experience but you are most welcome, even if you’ve done some bookbinding before.
Class sizes are kept small to ensure each person can be given individual attention.
Each participant will leave the session with a book that they have created themselves – and hopefully a greater appreciation for the craft of bookbinding, and maybe even the start of a new hobby / obsession.
Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 3 to 13 days of the event will incur a 50% fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable. When you register for a class, you agree to these terms. In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a workshop, as much notice as possible will be given and you will be refunded in full.
