Hard to beat a sketchbook with a kilt buckle closure and pocket built in the back cover. Unless it’s a notebook. Or journal. Really, it can be whatever you want it to be.
The pink, Drummond of Perth, covers are made using a fair trade, soft cotton which gives the outside a pleasing tactile feeling.
The coptic stitch binding used on this book means all pages open and lie flat and the spine has decorative exposed stitching.
Each book I make is hand cut, glued, and designed in my studio on the small island of Iona, resulting in a one of a kind piece. Ships with small card with information on the type of binding, and wrapped as in the last photo.
