These books are hand bound after meticulously smoothing out the wrinkles from a recently emptied Tunnock’s wrapper, and stuffed full of Flat White paper (more on that below). Both covers are sturdy hard board, the back one is covered in a plain metallic foil complementing the Tunnock’s branding on the front.
Coptic stitch binding allows books to open fully and lay flat, perfect for journals, notebooks, and sketchbooks. Hand stitched with a beeswax coated linen thread, which gives both strength and durability to the spine.
Flat White paper is 100% recycled, 50% of that is recycled paper and the other 50% is recycled coffee cups. Hence the name! It’s thick and smooth, perfect for artists and delightfully luxe for writers.
Each book I make is hand cut, punched, and stitched, resulting in a one of a kind piece, and ships with a small card with more information about the binding type. These are the perfect for the creative person in your life with a sweet tooth and sense of humour. A fat free way to enjoy your Tunnock’s… there may even be a lingering whiff of chocolate and Scottish sweetness.
